Advanced Technology

Our London clinic is fully equipped with the latest anti-ageing and skin treatment technology, carefully selected by Dr Barbara Kubicka  for effective results.

Plasma BT

Plasma Energy

Plasma BT is a treatment which uses plasma energy to stimulate skin renewal processes, so there are no chemicals or injections involved.

The plasma energy works by heating the skin which then increases production of its own collagen stores deep within. This delivers a surprisingly significant tightening of the skin.

Plasma BT treatments are delivered using a needle or probe for very precise delivery of the plasma energy. Treatments are highly targeted.

Non-Surgical Eye Lift

Eye rejuvenation is the best known use of Plasma BT treatment, as the treatment enables clients to see radical anti-ageing to the delicate eye area without recourse to surgery.

Using advanced technology, Plasma BT triggers localised skin tightening which can significantly improve some of the more difficult sigs of ageing:

  • Eye bags
  • Droopy eye lids

In doing so, it will also improve:

  • Crow’s feet
  • Laughter lines

As no skin is actually removed, it is a safer option to surgery and also less costly for clients.

Other Treatments

Plasma energy can also be used for other areas of rejuvenation and improvement:

  • Lines and wrinkles
  • Lifting
  • Improving scars
  • Reducing or removing broken blood vessels/capillaries/spider veins
  • Localised treatment of troublesome acne cysts
  • Skin tag removal

IPL Laser

IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light

This is sophisticated laser technology that can be used on a whole range of skin conditions, including:

  • rosacea
  • sun damage
  • thread veins / broken capillaries
  • acne
  • skin rejuvenation (lines and wrinkles)
  • promoting collagen production
  • pigmentation including freckles, sun spots, liver spots, birth marks, melasma – clearer more even skin tone
  • redness or flushing
  • improving skin texture
  • reducing pore size and/or oiliness

A major advantage of IPL is that it can treat the skin without any disruption to the its surface, unlike cosmetic injections.

It is also seen as a more natural approach, as it works to stimulate the skin’s own biological processes for clearer complexion and increased collagen, which has an effect of firming and tightening the skin, leaving it more radiant and clear looking.

How Does IPL Laser Skin Therapy Work?

Intense Pulsed Light treatments are like a very powerful camera flash lamp being held against your skin.

  • The intense light is converted into heat energy
  • The light waves target colour pigments in the skin such as melanin in brown spots and freckles; or haemoglobin in broken or diffused blood vessels.
  • The light waves can also target specific protein molecules in acne bacteria and in collagen.

IPL Technology

Dr Barbara Kubicka has the latest IPL technology from Sharp Light for skin rejuvenation and treating a variety of skin conditions.

Depending on the condition being treated and the patient’s individual skin physiology; the device can be precisely adjusted to the most appropriate wavelength of laser beam or combination of wavelengths. In addition, the power, number and length of pulses can be altered.

This makes it a highly customised and accurate treatment.

Dr Kubicka also specialises in combining IPL with other treatments, such as chemical peels for an enhanced effect.

Plasma Shower

Plasma Energy

Like Plasma BT, Plasma Shower uses plasma energy, but with a handpiece that distributes the plasma over a much a wider application area.

Plasma energy works to stimulate skin renewal processes without any chemicals or injections, making it an appealing option for those who prefer a more natural approach to treatment.

The plasma energy heats the skin’s inner layers, stimulating collagen production. With plasma shower, the treamtent also works to sterilise any bacteria on the skin’s surface.

Acne Treatment

Plasma shower is an excellent option for acne sufferers, as the treatment destroys bacteria on or near to the skin’s surface, removing the irritant. It also helps in reduction of pore size and excessive oiliness.

In addition, the plasma energy works to stimulate healing, aiding recovery and reducing inflammation.

It can be used on the body as well as the face.

Other Treatments

Plasma Shower is very effective over larger areas and has a host of potential benefits:

  • Skin rejuvenation and tightening
  • Healing and skin cell regeneration
  • Promotes a clearer and more even complexion
  • Reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles

Cryolipolysis - MiCool A

MiCool-A is advanced technology for body shaping and treatment of cellulite.

It offers an excellent solution for those clients that struggle with specific areas such as abdomen, thighs or buttocks; that remain stubbornly resistant to toning despite dieting and exercise.

Cryolipolysis uses intensive cold to blitz troublesome pockets of fat. It can help with:

  • Shaping or contouring the body
  • Tackling stubborn pockets of fat
  • Smoothing cellulite
  • Stretch marks
  • Lymphatic drainage

Results are similar to those commonly associated with surgical liposuction. However, MiCool-A Cryolipolysis treatment offers a number of distinct advantages compared to the cosmetic surgery option:

  1. Faster results
  2. Less invasive
  3. Much cheaper
  4. Safer procedure – no general anaesthetic
  5. Fast recovery
  6. Smooth finish
  7. Improves skin appearance as well as fat busting

Treatment offers a fast, pain-free and more economical way to achieve inch loss and body contouring without harming the surrounding skin, blood vessels or nerves.

“The Intelligent Alternative to Liposuction”

The advanced body shaping system is based on cryolipolysis (‘fat freezing’) technology. The principle objective of treatment is to target lipocytes (fat cells) in the subcutaneous fat layer without causing any damage to the surrounding tissues.

For every patient the process begins with comprehensive body fat analysis and measurement which is repeated at each appointment so that results can be measured over time.

Results will naturally depend on the individual and how much excess fat there is.

Consultations and treatment with laser lipo are available at Dr Kubicka’s own clinicbe in Knightsbridge.

As a fully qualified Doctor, who has a holistic approach to the treatments she provides, Dr Barbara Kubicka may also provide tailor-made diet and exercise advice private consultation with Dr Barbara Kubicka.

Microdermabrasion - SilkPeel DermalInfusion

Microdermabrasion with a difference

Many clients are familiar with the concept of microdermabraion – intensive medical-grade exfoliation using a machine rather than a chemical.

However, SilkPeel DermalInfusion goes further, incorporating application of a dermatological solution which takes advantage of the skin’s additional ability to absorb products immediately after exfoliation.

  1. Exfoliation using medical-grade diamonds works to abrade the skin, removing dead skin cells and excessive oil at the skin’s surface
  2. Suction device extracts skin surface and pores leaving skin super-clean, as well as stimulating circulation
  3. Dermatological solutions are applied while the skin is at its most receptive, bringing active ingredients to nourish, nurture and stimulate the skin depending on the client’s needs. Infusion options include:
    • Lumisyl infusion
    • Hydrating infusion
    • Clarifying infusion
    • Vitamin C hydrating infusion

What Can Microdermabrasion Improve?

SilkPeel DermalInfusion is an incredibly versatile treatment.

Exfoliation is almost universally beneficial for the skin, with benefits including:

  • Tighter pores
  • Smoother skin
  • More even complexion
  • Reduction in fine lines
  • Improvements to flaky skin or dryness
  • Leaves a radiant glow and healthy skintone

With the SilkPeel DermalInfusion system, the selection of an appropriate infusion means that it can be tailored for additional benefits, targeting specific challenges such as:

  • Acne or spots
  • Excessive oiliness
  • Acne scarring
  • Sun damage
  • Hyperpigmentation/pigmentation
  • Freckles/age spots
  • Mild scars
  • Goose bumps
  • Stretch marks

Microdermabrasion can be used on the body as well as the face.

Downtime is minimal as the skin recovers quickly from any initial redness.

While the machinery is high tech, the approach is seen as quite natural approach, as it simply works to cleanse and stimulate the skin’s own recovery processes. Over time, there can be further improvements in the skin’s condition as collagen renews. Having a course of treatment is advised for best results, but just one treatment can be expected to deliver a noticeable improvement.
